Mental Health Counseling Services

Supporting families, strengthening minds, building healthier futures.

Caring for a child with autism means caring for the whole family's emotional well-being too. Who this helps

Counseling supports children, teens, adults, parents, and families dealing with stress and overwhelm, anxiety or mood-related concerns, parenting stress, trauma, major life transitions, or family and relationship conflict. Sessions provide a safe, supportive space to be heard and understood.

How it works at ACT

After your initial request, a member of our team reaches out to schedule your first session. That visit includes a comprehensive biopsychosocial evaluation, which looks at emotional, behavioral, social, family, and environmental factors affecting well-being. From there, we build a personalized care plan — individual counseling, family counseling, or both — focused on coping skills, communication, and emotional regulation. Ongoing sessions build long-term resilience, and telehealth is available for families who need more flexible access.

Available at: Aurora, Bloomingdale, and Kankakee clinics, plus telehealth for qualifying families.
